Being one of Eastern Europe's most vibrant and cosmopolitan cities, Warsaw has much to offer its visitors. Reincarnated from rubble at the end of World War II, this city is a testament to its people's spirit and is now a World Heritage city. As the birthplace of Chopin and home of the National Philharmonic Orchestra, Warsaw is a cultural center of opera, theatre, and music. The city's many museums have impressive collections of Warsaw's history and ancient, medieval and European art. The Warsaw Historical Museum is a good place to start your sightseeing tour. Then, take a walk through Stare Miasto (Old Town), where you don't want to miss the Zamek Krolewski (the Royal Palace), which was rebuilt in the 1970's and 80's.

Rynek Starego Miasta (The Old Town Square) is a beautiful and vibrant center of cafes, street artists and flowers and continues to provide a lively atmosphere at night. The heart of Warsaw is Centrum, where you'll find most of the city's museums, churches and palaces. Nothing remains of the original Jewish ghetto, but you can visit the Zydowskie Instytut Historyczny (Jewish Historical Institute), which documents the history of Polish Jews before, during and after World War II.
